Humbug Reach is a family owned and run boutique vineyard nestled on the river in the Tamar Valley. We produce elegant cool climate Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay.
The Humbug Reach Vineyard was established in the late 1980s on the banks of the Tamar Estuary with plantings of pinot noir; riesling and chardonnay followed. Since 1999 it has been owned and operated by us, Sally and Paul McShane, and we proudly tend the 6,000 vines on the property. Since 2008 Guy Wagner has been making our Riesling and Chardonnay while Paul makes our Pinot Noir (also managing to work at the Sustainability Institute at Monash University in Melbourne). We have 1 hectare so we are small pickings but we truly value quality and you will see this in every wine we produce. Hand picked and nurtured from vine to bottle, our wines are a special Tasmanian experience. You can visit us by appointment and order via email, fax or phone. We have eftpos/credit card facilities.
